Donnie Airtime (Butch Laswell) jumping 16
Chevrolet Camaros. In practice, he got blown off course
by the heavy winds and missed
the landing ramp to the right side. To avoid getting his left foot
twisted backwards instantly a la Gary Wells at Caesars
Palace, he lifted his leg under the bars. His left
cheek landed on the right edge of the ramp deck. He was thrown forward
and his speedometer was caved in by his chest.
He saved it, but his speedo was broken. The Airtime
Brothers barely had enough room to accelerate for this jump, so Donnie
decided to jump without a speedo. He went long, to the bottom of the ramp, but
rode it out. To see a picture of Johnny Airtime jumping the same obstacle, click
