HIGHEST MOTORCYCLE JUMP WITH PARACHUTE WORLD RECORDS

HIGHEST JUMP WITH PARACHUTE. This is the highest motorcycle jump from a surface, using a parachute instead of a landing ramp.

    a. HIGHEST JUMP FROM AIRPLANE. This is the highest jump with a motorcycle out of an airplane, where the rider rides the bike down until he's about to separate and pull the ripcord. The longest vertical measurement of flight with bike and rider together is the preferred criteria, rather than simply the altitude of the jump's origin.

 Current record holder: Mike DeLuna

    b. CLIFF DROPOFF TO PARACHUTE. This is the motorcycle jump off the highest cliff or earth structure where the rider stays with the bike the farthest vertical distance on the way down before separating and popping the parachute. Staying with the bike the longest vertical distance is the primary criteria, rather than simply riding off the highest cliff and jumping off the bike immediately. This makes the jump like a HALO or LALO jump when pushed to the extreme. If necessary, "attached" and "unattached" records will be listed.

Current record holders to evaluate: Dave Barlia

                                                                Alain Prieur

Honorable mention: Travis Pastrana's flip into the Grand Canyon.

    c. BRIDGE OR SPAN DROPOFF TO PARACHUTE. This is the motorcycle jump off the highest bridge or span where the rider stays with the bike the farthest vertical distance on the way down before pulling the parachute. Staying with the bike the longest vertical distance is the primary criteria, rather than simply riding off the highest bridge and jumping off the bike immediately. If necessary, "attached" and "unattached" records will be listed.
